Classorama is a Steelband competition for Primary and Secondary school Steelbands, which started in 2014. It emulates the Panorama Competition held annually in Trinidad and in the UK. The purpose of Classorama is to recognise the excellent school bands in the UK, whose wonderful musical work and achievements, are often unnoticed. We aim to change this and have school bands recognised in the same positive way sports and other school activities are acknowledged.
What makes Classorama unique is the concept to take any song from any genre and transform it into a creative calypso piece of music. This permits children and young people to perform music they enjoy and are familiar with whilst emulating the Panorama competition from Trinidad & Tobago.
