Carlene Etienne - Trustee
Known as ‘Sweet Wrist’ is a phenomenal musician specialising in the full range of the Steelband Orchestra. She is also a singer songwriter, a part of the Ebony Steelband and Women of Steel. Carlene has travelled the world preforming steelpan music, taken part in major competition both in the UK and abroad and has a volunteering spirit with the aspiration to improve the UK steelpan movement.
Shareen Gray - Director
Has been playing steelpan for many years, travelled the world performing and taken part in several major competitions. In 2015 Shareen received an Outstanding Achievements Award from the British Association of Steelbands and became the Chairperson for Endurance Steel Orchestra. She formed Steel Pan Agency in 2010, which predominantly delivers performances and workshops to schools, private functions,and corporate events. She is a qualified Arts Award Officer, Professional Fundraiser, founder of Pan Clash and formed Steel Pan Trust to encourage music lovers worldwide to listen to the steelpan.
Daniel Sadler - Trustee
Daniel Sadler was introduced to the steelpan at the age of 14 and at age 16 started teaching the instrument in his local area. Daniel has over 15-years experience in teaching and performing, has toured in over 40 countries and has performed at the Notting Hill Carnival every year since 1998. Daniel is a trustee so he can continue to inspire the new generation of Pannists in the UK and beyond.
Cheryl Auguiste - Trustee
Cheryl has dedicated more than 15 years to the Carnival Art form having grown up in Ladbroke Grove and participating in Notting Hill Carnival. Her love for steelpan grew over the years while attending the UK Panorama Steelband Competition and she soon experienced playing pan at events and touring countries such as the UAE. Fuelled by the belief that everyone should experience the bliss of the steelpan culture, Cheryl encourages all including her family and friends to get involved. Cheryl is committed to being an avid advocate to the steelpan movement.
